I first met Bob on Fiverr in September 2024 when he reached out to me saying, “I run a small computer repair/consulting business. I was wondering if you could design a WordPress theme and landing page for it. I created the existing one about ten years ago, but it needs an update. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you.”
Of course, I was happy to help and believe that together we have created a modern, functional site that should last Bob for another 10 years!
Key Accomplishments and Contributions
I designed Bob’s website using a newer feature of the Divi theme called Divi Quick Sites, and it truly lives up to its name. The process starts with a simple form where you describe the purpose of the site, choose your fonts and colors (or let Divi’s AI do it for you), and click submit. Within moments, Divi generates a fully built site that reflects your inputs, providing a polished and professional starting point without needing to build from scratch.
What makes Divi Quick Sites so useful is the balance between speed and flexibility. The AI gives you a head start, but you retain full creative control to tweak layouts, adjust content, and tailor the design to fit your needs. For Bob’s site, it gave me a clean, modern foundation that I could easily customize, saving time while still delivering a site that looks and feels personalized.
This was my first opportunity to implement the TrustIndex.io review widget, and I was pleased with how seamlessly it integrated with Bob’s website. The widget connects directly to his Google Business Profile (GBP) and pulls in real-time customer reviews, which are then displayed in a clean, professional grid format. It requires minimal setup—just authenticate the GBP, choose your preferred layout style, and copy the embed code into the site. Within minutes, Bob’s positive customer feedback was prominently featured, helping to establish trust and credibility for new visitors.
What Bob appreciated most about TrustIndex.io was the flexibility it offers. There are several display options, including sliders, carousels, and badges, but Bob opted for the grid to keep the layout simple and direct. You can filter out lower-rated reviews if desired and even customize the styling to match the site’s branding. For Bob, this not only added social proof but also helped boost the site’s professionalism by showcasing authentic feedback from happy clients—all without requiring any manual updates.
One of Bob’s top priorities for the site was to clearly list and describe his services in a way that would help customers easily understand what he offers. To keep the user experience smooth and visually cohesive, I designed the service pages to match the overall site style—clean, modern, and easy to read. I also added menu access at the top of the site, making sure users could jump to any service with just one click. This layout not only enhances usability but also boosts credibility, showing potential customers that Bob is both professional and transparent about what he offers. The result is a well-structured site that builds trust and helps convert visitors into clients.
